Tips & Tricks to save some bucks

  1. Lookout for airfare offers and book earlier to get the tickets at good rate. We booked in scoot which is a low cost airline from Singapore Airlines. They gave 10Kg cabin baggage allowance which was sufficient for us.
  2. Book Sim card and all attraction passes via Klook and book necessary slots before the trip so that you dont wait on ticket queues and you save a lot on online bookings.
  3. Singapore attractions are well connected with Metro. So we mostly used Metro and sometime buses. All of those are enabled with tap and pay devices. If you stay is going to be less than 5 days, I would advice to use a normal credit card since the EZ-Link card requires some deposits. But make sure each of the traveler has a card to use. You cant use the same card twice.
  4. Get a 0 forex credit card. I got Niyo Global credit card and used in most of the places. Most of the merchants accepts Credit card and we barely used cash.
  5. Carry a re-usable water bottle. Singapore has many provisions for clean water and we can fill our bottles in these places.
  6. For zoo day, I would advice to carry a portable hand fan since you end up walking too much and this fan will help to some extent.
  7. If incase you are travelling Singapore for the first time, make use of a free voucher from Singapore Rewards.
